ESPN The future of High School: Marquise Goodwin -ESPN Rise TRACKPublished by
Rowlett (Rowlett, Texas) senior Marquise Goodwin is the nation's No. 1 boys' track recruit in the ESPNU DyeStat player rankings. He earned two gold medals (in the long jump and 4x100 relay) at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Poland last summer. Goodwin will compete in track and football at Texas. ESPN RISE: What would be the dream scenario for your future? Goodwin: To succeed, nothing less than that. I want to be successful in anything I decided to do. ESPN RISE: Realistically, where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? Goodwin: I honestly see myself being a professional track athlete. I'm going to college next year and I'll probably graduate in four to five years. It's either join the workforce or become a professional athlete, and I'd rather be a pro athlete.
